MUMBAI: The days of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift’s feud remain long over. Last night, new mother Perry shared the very personal baby gift that her now-friend Swift gave her to celebrate the birth of her and Orlando Bloom’s daughter Daisy Dove Bloom: a hand-embroidered pink silk blanket with a handwritten note.

The blanket has “Baby Bloom” stitched on it with a pink flower. Perry showed a hint of the note Swift wrote to her and Bloom – one that revealed just how deeply sentimental the gift was. Swift appeared to write in the first sentence, “Katy and Orlando, When I was a baby, my most [valued] possession was a tiny silk [blanket].”
Perry revealed Daisy loves the blanket in her caption on Instagram about the gift: “Miss adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift,” Perry wrote. “hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager”
Perry just welcomed Daisy at the end of August. Previously, Perry shared a photo of the giant floral arrangement Beyonce gave her to congratulate her on Daisy’s birth – another very impressive and enviable present. Who among us doesn’t want a gift from Beyonce?
Swift spoke last June about how she and Perry privately reconciled before revealing their renewed friendship publicly in her “You Need to Calm Down” music video.
“She [Katy] and I have really been on good terms for a while,” Swift explained, via E!. “She sent me a really nice note and an olive branch to the – like an actual olive branch – to my tour when it started, the Reputation Stadium Tour, a while ago. From that point on we’ve been on good terms.”
The momentum continued at multiple parties where the two met in person, Swift continued. “Then we saw each other at a party and walked up to each other and hugged it out and talked about things, and then we saw each other again and hung out at another party, and it was just like something felt so much lighter about my life when things became really good between us. And, you know, she and I have been fine for a while and really on good terms, but we didn’t know if we were ever gonna really tell people about it. We wanted to make sure that was solid between us before we ever made the public aware.”
