MUMBAI: American country singer Carrie Underwood has dominated the 2012 Country Music Television Awards with five nods.
The former ‘American Idol’ winner has won nominationS for top honourS like Female Artist of the Year and Video of The Year (Good Girl). Miranda Lambert follows the lead with four nods including Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for her single ‘Over You’ and Group Video and ‘USA Weekend’ Breakthrough Video for her band ‘Pistol Annies.’
Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, The Civil Wars, Thompson Square and Lady Antebellum each received three nominations.
Ten artistes are been nominated in the night’s biggest category, ‘Video of the Year’, but the number will be narrowed down to five during the awards show, which will be broadcast live on 6 June from Nashville.
