MUMBAI: Renowned pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen was the big winner with three honours at the 2012 Much Music Video Awards (MMVAs) held on 17 June at Toronto.
The popstar bagged three coveted titles – ‘Favourite Video of the Year’, ‘Video of the Year’ and ‘MuchMusic.com’s Most Streamed Video of the Year’ for her single ‘Call Me Maybe’.
Justin Bieber and Katy Perry grabbed two awards each. Bieber won the ‘International Video of the Year by a Canadian’ and ‘Favourite Artist or Group’, whereas Perry won the honour of best ‘International Video of the Year Artist’ and ‘Favourite International Artist or Group’. Other winners include Drake, LMFAO, The Sheepdogs, Marianas Trench, Down with Webster and Danny Fernandes.
Hosted by LMFAO, the show witnessed performances by Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ed Sheeran, LMFAO, Kelly Clarkson, Flo Rida, Nelly Furtado amongst others.
