MUMBAI: Chennai-based record label, EarthSync presents live performances by Business Class Refugees – Kartick & Gotam at Blue Frog, on 16-17 July.
Business Class Refugees is a collaborative platform for music and musicians from around the world with up-and-coming electronic beats that exemplifies the spirit of music, in a classic combination of contemporary electronica and traditional music. Apart from the lead electronic artists Kartick (Patrick Sebag) and Gotam (Yotam Agam), the show at Blue Frog will also feature Mahesh Vinayakram (Vocals), Padma Shankar (Violin), Yoav Bunzel (Drums), Eya Mazig (Bass) and Meher Malik (Dance).
Kartick & Gotam have performed on many venues and stages across India, and several international shows, including opening the AWME 2009 (Australian World Music Expo), Melbourne, Australia. In 2010, Business Class Refugees has performed at Drom and The Shrine in New York, Reading3 and Bamboo in Israel among others.
The album, distributed in India by EMI, features renowned vocalist Mahesh Vinayakaram, flautist Navin Iyer of Slumdog Millionaire fame, popular Indian film industry percussionist K.V Balakrishnan and French bassist Mishko M’Ba.
