Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Broomstickk founder, CEO and chief promoter Dhaval Laheri said, “I have put more than three years in research as I was aware that Broomstickk would be compared to the existing social networking sites that are ruling the world currently.” He holds a completely no experience in social networking sites but is determined to make an impact with it.
The idea of building on the social networking site started in 2007 and finally it was ready to launch in 2013. “I had taken break in between due to lack of funds and staff. But I didn’t let anything stop this project. Due to support from well-wishers, family and friends I am able to launch the project this year,” Laheri said.
With an investment of Rs one crore, Laheri is looking forward for a partnership from a company that will help him with his expenditure and support his staff that will be mainly based in United States. “I have invested Rs 95-99 lakh and actually a bit more till date and some of the money spent is not accounted for as it happened over years,” he added.
Meanwhile, the company claims that it collaborate and seamlessly synchronize social and business platforms together so that work and pleasure is all under one roof. To cater to this crucial insight, there will also be a ‘Passion Page’ which would enlist people’s interests and passions. This will enable several people to come together online and form groups and communities. People will interact based on their common interests and Broomstickk will serve as a contact point to hold events, parties and get together.
Broomstickk has signed Pooja Mishra as the brand ambassador. “We have set out promotion plans which include advertising, viral and so on. But before that we are looking at getting on board huge partnership, we are looking forward for only one partner. As this will not be only in India so we are in talks with International companies as well,” said Broomstickk marketing director Akbar Hussain.
Laheri said, “We plan to launch the site officially within three months and we are currently testing it and some changes to make it as user friendly as possible.”
