MUMBAI: Marking the 50th anniversary of his debut album, legendary folk singer and song writer Bob Dylan is all set to release his 35th studio album ‘Tempest’ on 11 September.
The album comprises of 10 songs produced by Dylan and will be released on Columbia Records. Dylan also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom this year and was awarded a special Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for his profound impact on popular music and American culture.
He will wrap up his European tour on 22 July and will head to North America for another tour commencing from 10 August in Alberta and culminating on 9 September in Pennsylvania.
Dylan’s last album ‘Together through Life’ released in 2009 and sold more than million copies debuting at number one in both Britain and the US. His first album ‘Bob Dylan’ released in March 1962, initially did not sell well but second album ‘The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan’ released in 1963, established him as a poetic writer of protest songs and a raw, original new voice.
