MUMBAI: Exemplifying the impact of JioSaavn in the global digital music sphere, the company’s co-founder & CEO, Rishi Malhotra, has been named to the Digital Power Players 2019 list by legacy music publication, Billboard. The latest edition of the Billboard list also includes several other noteworthy names from the global music industry.
Joining industry luminaries from Tencent Music, Snapchat and YouTube for the 2019 list, the recognition represents the growth of global alliances and representation in the music industry, which has traditionally been dominated by artists, record labels and technology developed in the United States and Europe.
Billboard is an American media brand that tracks and publishes trends and developments in the global entertainment space and is renowned for its music charts, such as the Hot 100 and Billboard 200.
