MUMBAI: Big Music has acquired the music rights of Tamil movie ?‹?“Kuselan starring South-Indian superstar Rajnikanth. The album will be released in two languages, Tamil and Telugu. The music album will hit the stores across the country from 1 July.
The album composed by GV Prakash Kumar, nephew of veteran music composer AR Rahman, will also include a track sung by Punjabi Pop king Daler Mehndi. The track titled ?‹?“Oyam Zaarare will see the singer singing in Tamil and Telugu for the first time. Also lending their voices to this stupendous album are Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Sujata, Chitra, Sadhna Sargam, Shreya Ghosal, and Kailash Kher & Prasanna VV
Speaking about the music, Big Music and Home Entertainment South India business head Umesh Pai says, This is the first time ever that Daler Mehndi, the Punjabi pop king has sung for a Tamil movie. Vasu has got the whos who of Tamil Film industry to appear in the song. Speaking about ‘Kuselan’ which is based on Rajnikanths real life, he states, “The character Ashok Raj will be a turning point in my career. I have always been overwhelmed by the response I get from my audience. I have portrayed nearly 20 different characters for a song in this movie and I m very excited about the movie.”
Directed by P Vasu, Kuselan is a tale of a friendship between a barber and a superstar. The story is based on the life story of Rajnikanth who plays the lead role in the movie. The movie stars Rajnikanth, Pasupathy, Meena, Mamta Mohandas, Nayantara and Vadivelu in the lead roles.
