Big FM’s north-west head Himanshu Shekhar quits

MUMBAI: Big FM regional head for north and west India, Himanshu Shekhar has quit the organisation to return to Mindshare Fulcrum.

Confirms Shekhar, I am currently serving my notice period at Big FM and would be joining Mindshare Fulcrum, Jakarta by mid March. At Mindshare, I would be heading Unilever’s media account….

Himanshu Shekhar was associated with Mindshare Fulcrum for eight years and was promoted as the country head in 2007. He quit the organisation to join Big FM in 2008. The work experience at Big FM was enriching as running any media company needs understanding complexities associated with it. Radio was more complex as it is still in its nascent stage….

Having worked with a radio organisation, Shekhar feels, will help him look at the medium objectively. Working closely with a radio organisation has helped me understand the medium and I would consider radio as a share while planning campaigns but every role needs to be seen differently….

Himanshu began his career with JP Cement as an area sales manager before he moved to The Hindu as an account planner. With Minshare, Shekhar has been credited with his ongoing contribution to the growth of Fulcrum in print, radio and activation.
