MUMBAI: Big FM has introduced changes in its programming to cash in the IPL fervor. The network’s Chandigarh Station is the official Radio partner for Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers have tied up with the Hyderabad Station, ensuring an opportunity for listeners to get a peek of their favorite cricketers. Hosting the IPL excitement on air is cricket expert Arun Lal.
Eight days preceding the tournament, Big FM has a line up of programs. With savoring names for each innovative offering, they are characterized as â€?Garam Masala’ giving listeners an entire team analysis offering in-depth insights into teams, their composition, their past performance and key players. â€?Khada Masala’ will profile key players of this season – their cricketing career, IPL statistics etc. The â€?Masala Tez Hai’ section specially created for the superstitious will see an astrologer-numerologist doing pre-match predictions and giving nail-biting analysis of the forthcoming matches.
â€?Tadka Mar Ke’ will have Arun Lal hosting the show will give live updates on the matches, predicting the winners of the day and more. Big FM RJ’s will, at regular intervals, feed in updates from the stadium and share inside stories with the cricketers. â€?Seedhe Tawe Se’ will give listeners hot updates from the ground with regards to the ambience, preparation of the match, audience excitement… basically the spirit of IPL â€?Chauka –Choolha – Chhakka’ will give listeners a regular update of the matches being played ensuring listeners will never have to miss out on the fun and excitement of the tournament.
