MUMBAI: Sensitive subjects catering to homosexuality, rape, casting couch, one-night-stands amongst many others are never a part of a discussion in our society. Taking this into consideration, Big FM in August introduced a new show called Uncensored with MJ Anirudh in Mumbai.
Being a retro station, Big FM serves a matured group of audience; initiating content like this is a step towards improvising people thoughts, a step towards a developing nation. The show airs Monday to Friday from 10 pm to 12 am providing a platform for debate in the broadcast space.
A live poll on social media introduces the ‘Topic of the Day’ in the afternoon, a day prior to the on-air programme. This activity further leads to insightful conversations, wherein listeners be a part of a healthy debate and voice their opinions. With this unconventional format, MJ Anirudh sets the stage for listeners to come forward and discuss sensitive issues, without the fear of being judged. A celebrity segment called Apke Sitare Kya Kehte Hain witnesses prominent Bollywood personalities speak about topics that they are not usually vocal about.
