BANGALORE: Big FM conducted the Bai-Bichch RJ Hunt Semi-finals at The Grand Sigma Mall in Bangalore on Saturday evening. The four-week RJ Hunt activity commenced on 10 November and will culminate with the selection of one RJ on 6 December.
2438 entries were received by IVRS, of which 25 were shortlisted by Big FM RJs Rashmi and Harsha 10 semi-finalists were picked from these 25 at the Big FM Bangalore office. Nine RJs finally arrived for the event.
The semi-finals comprised three rounds – Extempore speaking (Pick and speak); Telephone interaction and RJ links. After the first round, three contestants were eliminated, after the second round four made it to the final round of the semi-finals. The final three – Bhavya, Sowjanya and Rakshith will get to co-host various shows such as Big Coffee, Bari Bindaas, Hip Hip Hooray and No Tension from 1 to 5 December and invite listeners to vote for them and based on the SMS responses from listeners, the ultimate winner will be picked on December 6 and trained to become an RJ for the station.
