*Andhra Pradesh’s first-ever people’s choice movie awards
MUMBAI: After organizing BIG Ugadi Music Awards and BIG Telugu Television Awards last year, 92.7 BIG FM, in association withRaj Oil Mills, announced the BIG Telugu Movie Awards on Tuesday, 15th March 2011, at BIG Cinemas, Hyderabad.
The award function to be held at Shilpkala Vedika on Friday, 25 March, will see the bigwigs of the Telugu film Industry in attendance, with performances and acts by various artists.
Celebrating Ugadi and with the promise of Mee Movies, Mee Istham, the people of Andhra Pradesh will get to vote for their choice of six flavours of movies under six different categories — Love, Family, Action, Comedy, Social and Entertainment.
Marking the launch of voting for the BIG Telugu Movie Awards, renowned Director Tamma Reddy Bharadwaj, popular Music Director Koti, actress Madhurima, singers Hemachandra and Sunitha along with Music Director Srilekha cast their votes for their choice of movies.
A specially fabricated voting bus will drive across Hyderabad, Vizag and Tirupathi, and people will be encouraged to vote for their favorite movies. They can also vote for their choice by SMS. They can tune in to BIG FM to get the latest update on which actor has voted for which movie, actors’ choices, movie casts promoting their movies and lots of excitement around 18 big Films of 2010.
BIG Telugu Movie Awards, conceptualized and marketed by BIG Live, the experiential marketing arm of Reliance Broadcast Network Limited, will see all media verticals of the company coming into play to promote this property, which will be amplified across Radio (BIG FM), Out Of Home (BIG Street), digital (BIG Digital) and experiential marketing (BIG Live) platforms, honouring individuals from the Telugu Film industry who have helped take Telugu cinema to greater heights. The awards plan to ensure maximum reach through multiple touch points by roping in a number of partners including ETV as exclusive television partner and BIG Cinemas- as exclusive multiplex partner.
