MUMBAI: Big 92.7 FM has coordinated efforts to offer aid to Rajkot city and surrounding villages which bore the brunt of heavy rains last week.The station`s radio jockeys distributed food and other necessities and helped re-locate villagers to a safer place. Big 92.7 FM provided 5000 kg packets of food like `Chiwda, bread, biscuits and juices` and managed to spread some cheer and relief to the people affected by the non-stop rains, says the station. The FM Station also encouraged the city to come forward for help at a crucial time like this on-air, resulting in organizations SNK senior citizen club, Vipul Kumar & Co., Rajat Jewellers offering their financial help and support.
The station says Big 92.7 FM RJs Sujal Desai and Annirudh Trivedi visited some of the most remote and worst-hit areas of the city in order to help the affected.
Says Big `s Rajkot station head Nishant Thadani, “It is our endeavour to provide wholesome entertainment with a cause and this campaign is yet another initiative towards drawing the attention of people and achieve what we have set out to do, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility.”
