MUMBAI: Big FM has announced another addition to its programming with Raat Baaqi which will feature ghazals, nazams and shayari’s . The show which will run across 33 stations of the network which will be hosted by Harish Moyal, the Indian Idol-1 discovery and will air from 9-12pm every Sunday.
Raat Baaqi is an endeavor to cater to the connoisseurs of Urdu poetry and music lovers who can listen to the voices of Jagjit Singh, Chitra Singh, Mehdi Hasand, Ustaad Ghulam Ali. The show will not only feature some rare songs sung by these maestros but will also showcase some of the most popular Hindi film ghazals. Harish will showcase the simplified meaning of deeper poetries written by the likes of Mirza Ghalib, Gulzar, Qateel Shifai, Ahmed Faraz, Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Nida Fazli to name a few.Surprise of the show will be some of the choicest Sufi songs from Indian and Pakistani singers like Abida Parveen, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Kailash Kher.
