MUMBAI: After host of global reality content like America’s Got Talent and X Factor, Big CBS will now premiere the 11th season of hit singing reality show American Idol across its three channels – Prime, Love and Spark.
The show will premiere on 15 October and will air every Monday to Thursday at 9pm across networks. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the show features iconic songwriter Steven Tyler, singer Jennifer Lopez and Grammy award winning producer Randy Jackson on the jury panel.
The talent hunt will search for the next big singing sensation amongst contestants selected from auditions held across the US. Establishing itself as the leading provider of international content in India, the network now has three properties in its kitty, that have all charted hit ratings across the globe. Staying ahead of competition, the channel has also partnered with brands like Reliance Mobile, Microsoft and Nivea as part of its endeavour.

The 11th season of American Idol premiered on 18 January, 2012 and set a record when 132 million votes were gathered for the finale. On May 23, 2012, Phillip LaDon Phillips was crowned the winner of the season beating runner up Jessica Sanchez.
This was the last season to feature Tyler and Lopez as judges after they confirmed they would be leaving the show. The upcoming 12th season of the hit reality show will retain Ryan Seacrest as host and feature Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson on the jury panel. The show is set to go on floor by January next year.
