MUMBAI: Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber is back with another heartfelt song ‘Nothing Like Us’ off his new album, based on his break-up with on-off girlfriend actress Selena Gomez.
The Baby hit maker was allegedly dumped by Gomez in November. They reunited before Christmas and enjoyed a romantic ski trip in Utah, but it appears their relationship is now over for good. Bieber has opened up about the failed romance in a candid interview with Billboard music magazine, in which he admits that he has been relying on his best pals to keep him smiling through the pain as fans and gossip bloggers continue to speculate about what caused the split.
The 18-year-old singer has channeled his heartbreak over the recent breakdown of his relationship into his music, particularly on the new track ‘Nothing Like Us’, which has the following lines:
‘Nothing can ever, ever replace you/Nothing can make me feel like you do.’
‘Gave you everything/Everything I had to give/Girl, why would you push me away?’
The song has been written and recorded by Bieber and is included on his new ‘Believe Acoustic’ record, along with two new tracks, ‘I Would’ and ‘Yellow Raincoat’. The album is to be released this week.
‘At the end of the day, there’s nothing like us, you know? That’s just it. It is what it is. People are going to relate to that,’ Bieber said.
Bieber’s last song ‘Be Alright,’ on his last record, was an inspiration to him by Selena.
