MUMBAI: Soon after the release of their latest indie offering, Kamli, Composer Bharat Goel and singer Nikhita Gandhi’s song started garnering popularity online. So much so that the song has crossed 1 million views on YouTube within days post release.
Kamli, which was released on June 24, tells the story of a girl in awe of a boy, who she secretly admires. Mesmerised, almost in a trance, she longs for the day he becomes her lover. The song is a classic example of cutting-edge composition and production.
Talking about the concept of the song, Bharat says, “Kamli is the story of secret admiration based in modern times. I have always had a very keen interest in dance music composition and production and this song gave me the opportunity to fulfil that. Nikhita was the perfect choice for the vocals and I’m glad the song clicked with the audience.”
