MUMBAI: Beginning 16 January, aspiring singer-songwriters will be able to showcase original songs and compete for the title of Best Original Song at www.BestOriginalSong.com. Weekly live internet shows will give viewers the chance to listen and vote. The world premier show will be on 16th Jan at 8 pm EST (India time 6.30 am on Jan 17) and all shows will be available to vote for one full week after the shows. Viewers from all over the world will vote for their favorite song/artist.
It’s â€?American Idol’ with a twist,… said Gabi Mor, a musician originally from Israel who put together the site and competition. It will be all original songs, and it will be on the Internet, but it will give every person who writes a song a stage….

The first competition will take about three and a half months to complete, Mor said, and another is planned for the second half of the year.
