MUMBAI: Rumour has it that ‘Chaar Bottle Vodka’ rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh maybe seen collaborating with ‘Barfi’-boy Ranbir Kapoor for a unique track in Bhushan Kumar’s upcoming film, ‘Roy’.
“I share a very close relationship with Honey Singh. He also recently did a song for us for ‘Bhoothnath Returns’. We are contemplating the idea of having Honey Singh and Ranbir Kapoor for a song, but nothing is finalised so far,” said Kumar, as per reports, adding, “At the moment I am not in a position to reveal anything as it is too early.”
Ranbir is cast as ‘Roy’ in the film, which will be shot mostly in South Africa and Mumbai.The two hit it off when the ‘Blue Eyes’ singer went to meet with Abhinav Kashyap for the title track of his film ‘Besharam’, in which he lent his voice for Ranbir Kapoor. It was then that they discovered several common interests which turned into an ‘incredible’ friendship.

Honey Singh also revealed, “Yes, we will be working on several songs. But that is not all. I am also going to make him sing for me.” The two became acquainted in Delhi during the shooting of ‘Besharam’ to discuss the song that Honey would be singing for Ranbir in the film.
According to reports, Honey found Ranbir to be “as chilled-out as me”. “To be honest, I have been working closely with other Bollywood stars. I am a very open-hearted guy. But I find Bollywood’s actors to be extremely cagey. I am typical North Indian. They do not open up that easily. With Ranbir, within minutes we were sharing confidential secrets. Obviously I am not going to tell you what we spoke about,” he added.
Honey reportedly spoke about their common love for fast cars. “Ranbir and I own the same car with the same number (Audi RB Number 8). We share a lot of common interests. In fact, I am taking him partying in Delhi next week. To be honest before meeting Ranbir, I was wary of star-kids. I find they get everything too easily. But Ranbir is who he is, not because of his family but his own talent and good nature. He is self-made, like me,” he said.
