MUMBAI: Right from something as soothing as ‘Tu Toh Meri Dost Hai’ to something as fast paced as ‘Badtameez Di’, singer Beeny Dayal always has a surprise up his sleeve. And this time is no different either, as the 29 year old is all set to make his debut in Marathi. For his latest endeavour, Dayal has teamed up with ‘Lat Lag Gaye’ singer, Shalmali Kholgade.
Confirming the news to Radioandmusic.com’s Dhairya Ingle, the singer said, “Yes I am collaborating with Shalmali for a Marathi song. I am one of those who love experimenting with different languages. I did not have to take any special training sessions to learn Marathi pronunciations and the recording was wrapped up quickly.”
Benny in the past had also teamed up with the composer of Aashiqui 2 composer, Jeet Ganguly for the track, ‘O Modhu’ from the movie Rangbaaz.

“Benny is an intelligent singer so he knows what composers want and does his job very well. He picked up the song in about a couple of hours and since the lyrics are easy, I did not have much to correct when it came to the pronunciation bit. A few changes here and there and we were good to go.” said composer Jeet Ganguly.
