Mumbai: Filmy`s music reality show Bathroom Singer, has incorporated a new member on board its jury.
Veteran composer and singer Bappi Lahiri, who has just completed his stint as a mentor/judge on Zee TV`s Saregamapa Challenge, has accepted the role of jury member on Bathroom Singer. The show`s jury now comprises singer Shibani Kashyap, actor Ravi Kissen and Lahiri.
Bappida had attended an earlier episode of Bathroom Singer as a guest judge and enjoyed his experience so much, that he has decided to join the panel of judges, say channel officials.
Says Filmy`s business head Shailesh Kapoor, “The talent that Bappida possesses is one of the reasons we got him on the jury. His popularity on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa too will help us get more fans of his to watch Bathroom Singer. We can claim that because the number of smses have almost doubled or trebled when Bappida was on the jury.”
Says Lahiri, “Even though the contestants on the show have no formal training, they all have a good combination of `Raag and Jhaag`. Filmy has designed an interesting format I am definitely looking forward to coming weeks of Bathroom Singer and I feel lucky to be a part of the jury.”
