MUMBAI: The singer turned actor, Shruti Haasan commenced her career in singing at a very young age and has been successful enough to bag glories from both singing and acting. However, the 27 year old actress who had checked her luck out in Bollywood with ‘Luck’ in 2010, has two releases this Friday.
One is a romantic flick Ramaiya Vastavaiya(RV) while other is crime-thriller D-Day. Speaking with Radioandmusic.com about her romantic film, Haasan says, “Romantic film like Ramaiya Vastavaiya needs to have classic romantic songs which can connect with the audience and that are the role of the tracks in the film.” She feels that music is an integral part of any romantic movie.
Talking about her favourite track in the film the gorgeous actress said, “Bairiyaa sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Atif Aslam is my favorite track in the film.” The music composer for the film is Sachin-Jigar and lyricist for the tracks is Priya Panchal.
On asked about her admiration for music she added, “Music defines me and it is integral part of my life. I so enjoy singing.”
Hassan stars opposite debutant Girish Kumar in RV which is directed by Prabhudeva and produced by Kumar Taurani. For the film D-Day, she has rendered a track Alvida. Recently, Shruti-Ravi Teja starrer Telugu movie Balupu was also released. She is filming for three Telugu films currently.
