Badshah Suffers Corneal Abrasion During Landmark North America Tour That Has Grossed Over Rs. 52 Crores Making It The Most Successful Indian Hip Hop Tour Overseas

MUMBAI: Acclaimed Indian music artist Badshah has recently undergone treatment for a corneal abrasion in his left eye, an injury sustained during the final show of his highly successful North America tour. The incident occurred when an external particle entered his eye at the start of the performance. Despite experiencing discomfort, Badshah exhibited exceptional commitment and continued to deliver a memorable performance for his fans.

In the wake of the mishap, the 39-year-old singer-songwriter, rapper and record producer took to Instagram to share a light-hearted post featuring an eye patch, humorously quoting, “Avtar ji ka mukka hit karta hai jaisee,” in reference to his cameo in the newly released series The Bads of Bollywood*.

The incident occurred during the closing moments of what has proven to be a landmark tour for Badshah. His Unfinished Tour has taken North America by storm, grossing over USD 6 million (approximately Rs.52 crores) in ticket sales and drawing more than 45,000 enthusiastic fans across prestigious arenas in New Jersey, Virginia, Oakland, Seattle, Dallas and Chicago. The tour’s lavish production, costing USD 2 million, sets a new standard for Indian hip-hop, showcasing the most extravagant stagecraft in the genre’s history as well as the highest attended desi hip hop tour in North America.

Featuring special guest appearances from notable artists including Nora Fatehi, Mickey Singh, and Bohemia, as well as supporting acts Aastha Gill and Badal, Badshah’s performances captivated audiences of all ages. He also utilized his platform to rally global support for victims of recent natural disasters in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
