MUMBAI: Loud and edgy punk rockers Bad Mary release the live video for their song “The Itch” on May 13, offering a visual jolt of the band in their natural habitat: raw and unapologetically themselves. The song and video are a sneak peek at their upcoming live album debut, Live on Long Island, arriving July 15.
Singer Amanda Mac shares: “I love ‘The Itch’ because when performing live, it’s a song that I perform 100% honestly every single time. The chaotic live version is one of my favorite things to perform. And no, none of it is a bit or rehearsed (even the time I lost my phone) — it’s always exactly what it is.”

More live videos will roll out in the weeks leading up to the album’s release, with the full slate of songs and videos dropping on album day.
“We’ve always felt that our live performance is the true Bad Mary experience,” says bassist/vocalist Mike Staub. “We love interacting with the crowd and feeding off their energy. Live on Long Island really captures that.”
The album spans eras and features fan favorites from across their discography, including tracks from Killing Dinosaurs (2015) like “Soap Box,” “Hanging Around,” and “Want What I Want,” as well as “Trouble” and “Marz Attaqx” from We Could Have Saved the World (2016). Songs like “Space Girl,” “Don’t Know Where the Line Is,” “Forget About It,” and “Ninja” hail from 2014’s Better Days, while 2017’s Glitter Bomb is represented by “Japan.” More recent cuts include “Vibe-Icide,” “Are You With The Band?” and “It’s All Trash” from 2023’s Trash & Glamour, and “The Itch” and “Disaster Party” from The Return of Space Girl (2019), with both “Disaster Party” and “Want What I Want” also appearing on Mega Bad Disaster Party (2024). The band also pays homage to their roots with a fiery cover of “Tie Your Mother Down” from Rock and Roll Classics Vol. 7 (2022).
The band — bassist Mike Staub, vocalist Amanda Mac, guitarist David Henderson, and drummer Bill Mac — is a tight-knit crew that uses punk rock and punchy humor to push back against the chaos of modern life. Their releases have earned regular airplay on SiriusXM’s Underground Garage, multiple “Coolest Song in the World” titles, and high praise from New Noise Magazine, which noted their “rebellious lyrical content and punchy guitars, bass, and drums… Bad Mary enjoy what they do and make no apologies.”
