MUMBAI: Following a decade of high-energy performances and party-filled releases, New York-based glam-punk outfit Bad Mary is set to capture their raw, unfiltered live sound with their upcoming live album—their first release of 2025. The yet-to-be-titled live album will be available on all major streaming platforms this spring.
The band consists of Amanda Mac (vocals), David Henderson (guitar), Mike Staub (bass/vocals), and Bill Mac (drums). Known for their rebellious lyrics and party-packed performances, Bad Mary is kicking off 2025 with a bang. Their first-ever live album will showcase the band’s signature sound, delivering the same energy that has earned them accolades such as SiriusXM’s Underground Garage New Music Spotlight and the Coolest Song in the World title.
Bad Mary has become a force in the punk rock scene with releases like Better Days (2014), Killing Dinosaurs (2016), Glitter Bomb (2017), and their concept album The Return of Space Girl (2019), which inspired an award-winning animated film. In recent years, they’ve continued to impress with Rock and Roll Classics Vol. 6 & 7 (2022), Trash and Glamour (2023), and their most recent album, Better(er) Days (2024). Most recently, Bad Mary teamed up with fellow Long Islanders Mega Infinity to release a split 7-inch single, Mega Bad Disaster Party, available now on all streaming platforms and as a limited-edition vinyl via Ska Punk International.

In other news, Amanda is currently performing in Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning rock musical RENT at Long Island’s CM Performing Arts Center. Performances will run until March 8. The Suffolk County News praised her performance, stating, “Mac’s ‘Over the Moon’ performance, which deserves a series of theater studies in and of itself with miming and elocution skills, was flawless and equal parts ridiculous and high craftsmanship. Mac’s chemistry with Stroh was a much-welcomed moment of humor, and her belting of ‘Take Me or Leave Me’ was spine-tinglingly astounding.”
