MUMBAI: RJ Devangana, the one who featured in Most Influential Young Jaipurites 2017’ the list never fails to impress us with the awards she receives. Recently she won three awards at Asian Consumer Exchange Forum which happen to be RJ of the year Non-Metro (Golf), Best Activity Cross Border Engagement and Best Show Segment for educating customers and clients.
An elated Devangana said, “It’s a hat-trick of awards for me. It definitely boosts me but also at the same time makes me realize that I have to live up to them every day. Work hard and be the voice of people, for people. I believe there are many more to come. I always tell myself ‘I have just begun’.”
She added, “Awards are a stamp of fan love for me. Awards like these push me to achieve more.”

Devangana won the Best Cross Border Engagement and the Best Show Segment. The cross border engagement was done as a part for friendship day between radio station of India and Pakistan. “We called it Indo-Pak friend zoned. You will be surprised to know that none of them on either side of borders have hatred or bitterness for each other. In fact, it made us realize how friendly citizens of both nations want to be,” the RJ explained.
The award winner is definitely hitting the right chords but she has never worked on content keeping an award in mind. “The intention of doing the cross border engagement was genuine. I believe human emotions everywhere are the same. It was a wonderful experience doing this activity.”
The RJ who recently made her move to 89.1 Radio 4 FM, Dubai’s famous radio station shared her experience, “It’s thrilling and challenging at the same time. As I have a totally new audience to cater to. The responsibility is also high to give them top-notch entertainment like I have been doing in the past. Though I am away from home, Dubai doesn’t make me feel so.”
