MUMBAI: A Mumbai-based rock band M Majors has been accused of cheating Australian pacer Brett Lee of Rs. 10 lakh.
The cricketer has alleged that the organisers had promised to pay him Rs. 10 lakh for a concert he performed along with the band in May 2011 titled ‘Majors with Lee’.
According to the complaint, an orchestra had been arranged at Inorbit Mall, Malad when Lee was in the city. However, after the event the agreed amount was not paid to Next Level Media Communications (NLMC) representing Lee.
Next Level Media Communications had moved the court against band members Arundhati Deshmukh, Ameya Naik and Vignesh Vishwanth. Though the band had earlier protested its innocence, the case was registered following a trial court order.
