MUMBAI: After being launched in UK, TuneCore has now expanded its services to Australia, making its entry into yet another continent. Through this move, the digital music distribution and publishing administration service provider will expand its services across the globe. It also marks TuneCore’s ufourth international expansion.
TuneCore will allow Australian artists to monetise their work by collecting revenues through various avenues such as streaming services, digital download stores, songwriter royalties, and sync licensing opportunities, and the revenue will be made available in their local currency.
Artists will gain access to iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon Music, Deezer, 8tracks, and KKBOX, among many others, albeit at a price. New TuneCore Australian members signing up for an account will pay AUD 14.99 to upload a single for distribution. The second option is AUD 39.99 in the first year for artists distributing an album, after which artists will have to pay AUD 65.99 each year thereafter. Artists may also pay a onetime fee of AUD 99.99 for access to TuneCore Publishing Administration, which provides worldwide registration and royalty collection and placement opportunities in film, TV commercials, video games, and more.

Independent Australian artists will also be able to sell and share their music in important and growing global markets, such as India, Latin America, Africa, and Russia, as well as the United States and Europe, as the company has 150 partners worldwide. Artists will have full creative control and ownership of music, as TuneCore will help monetise their work.
