MUMBAI: ArtistAloud.com has undertaken a social campaign â€?B Aware – Music supports Breast Cancer Awareness’ with Blue frog and Women’s Cancer Initiative-Tata Memorial Hospital (WCI-TMH). Supporting the initiative, the portal has released a song â€?Haseen Zindagi’ composed by Sonu Nigam and penned by Javed Akhtar.
The campaign will culminate into a concert and live webcert ( On ArtistAloud.com) on 23 October at Blue Frog, and 100% of the proceeds from the event will be used towards cancer research by the WCI-TMH. The track â€?Haseen Zindagi’ is crooned by six singers including Teesha Nigam, Shilpa Rao, Shruti Pathak, Neha Bhasin, Shefali Alvares and Akruti Kakkar.
Speaking about the initiative Sonu Nigam said, “Artist Aloud approached me to do this special song for their and Deivika Bhojwani’s project in aid of Breast Cancer awareness. We decided the song has to be a song of celebration of life and awareness and six young talented and happening girls would sing it. We made sure the song is radio friendly so more people connect with it and thus get the message. My prayers are with this project and everybody involved.”
Devika Bhojwani has been spearheading breast cancer awareness for over eight years. She said, I am so happy to be a part of the ‘B Aware’ initiative with ArtistAloud.com and Blue Frog, which will help create the much needed awareness for Breast Cancer, through music….
Set up by Devika Bhojwani in 2003, The Women’s Cancer Initiative-Tata Memorial Hospital have been constantly working towards making a difference by spreading awareness and providing financial support to Women inflicted with Cancers in India. The foundation is based at the Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, one of the leading hospitals in the country, working on treatment, education and research in the field of cancer.
