MUMBAI: Mumbai based Hindi Art-Rock band Daira is ready with their soulful new song Sab Dhuaan Hai which will come out with a Music Video shot in the mesmerizing Himachal Pradesh Snippet from the Music Video of Sab Dhuaan Hai.
Daira’s new single is a follow up to their recent rousing single ‘Mazaar’. The band previously has released 2 more singles and 3 full-length albums since their inception.

‘Sab Dhuaan Hai’ which translates to ‘Everything is an Illusion’ in English, emphasizes on how insignificant a person’s quest to achieving every desire and possessions is, in a grander scheme of things.
On this single, the band can be heard musing on the perspective that humans are mere fragments of the universe. The constant pursuit of achieving the world which leads to fragile egos, the notion of putting others down and ignoring humanity is questioned through this 3- minute 35 seconds track.
Talking about the single’s inspiration, band’s front man and lyricist – Piyush Kapoor says, “The recent past has been extremely thought provoking and surreal for everyone specially artists and creators. The song is an introspective and uncompromising desire to inspire our listeners to challenge their status quo and push their limits (Daira).”
With this song, Daira also introduces the shift in their sound and the ever-growing tendency to explore new sonic palates. The bassist of the band Sourya Mukherjee adds “This song has a calm, serene, thought-provoking aura. One might say that the raging aggression of some of our past work has paved the way for a more mellow, ambient sound. The lyrics of the song is also probably more relatable to the masses – seeing a shift from niche political commentary to a more philosophical, introspective reflection into our purpose, and what’s important and what’s not.”
The band graduated to self-producing the track with the mixing duties lead by both the guitarists Vikalp Sharma and Shivam Pant. Notably, Vikalp Sharma had also mixed the band’s second album ‘Vipreet Buddhi’
‘Sab Dhuaan Hai’ will be released on 12th May 2022 on all streaming platforms and it will be the first of the three singles Daira is scheduled to release this year. The release will be followed by a multi-city India tour that will last from June to July of 2022. With this tour, Daira will introduce their new drummer, a prodigal talent from Kolkata, 21-years old, Shreyansh Kejriwal.
