MUMBAI: Playback singer Arijit Singh who started his career with a music reality show in 2005 (Fame Gurukul), has enthralled us all with his extravagant music so far. What’s bothering us are his posts over social media, which have been striking an eccentric, if not a juvenile note.
What takes him out of the ordinary is that he was not amongst the top three contestants. After a victory in such reality shows, winners are usually lost after the initial burst of glory. However, Arijit worked hard to prove his determination and calibre, there is no doubt about that! Arijit’s public request for forgiveness to actor Salman Khan made headlines during May 2016, when it was ambiguous how and when Singh had ‘insulted’ the 50-year-old celebrity.
According to reports and in a conversation with Arijit we got to know that Salman felt snubbed by the singer approximately three years ago at an award show. On the same, Arijit Singh revealed the details of what happened in reality and said he is hopeful that the actor will ‘forgive’ him in future.

Once again, after the Salman Khan controversy, Arijit Singh accused the music composer of ‘Wajah Tum Ho’, Abhijit Vaghani on Facebook on 27 October 2016, saying that Vaghani auto-tuned his voice in such a way that he couldn’t recognise his own voice. The same night, he removed the post.

What is NOT sensible is putting up a public post on social media regarding some personal or even professional misunderstanding.

When the post has already been seen by millions of people, what is the point of ?deleting the post from his official Facebook page a few hours later?
Our verdict:
We don’t think such posts are something to be put up on Facebook or any social media. No matter what, it is the music composer’s decision as he is the one who is producing and composing for the whole project. If one doesn’t like whatever thing he/she should have a discussion offline to settle on.
As for Arijit, he should remember that talent and level headedness make a good combination in the long term.
