MUMBAI: The Mumbai leg of the Anoushka Shankar-Jethro Tull concert, billed as ‘A night with the Piper and the Princess’ scheduled for 29 November 2008 has been postponed indefinetly.
“We were thinking of going ahead with the concert till now but after the recent reports about the terror attacks, we have postponed it,” confirmed E-18 CEO Farhad Wadia to Radioandmusic.com at 1.30 pm.
Wadia however, did not say if the concert in Mumbai would be held at a later date in MUmbai. The concert was to be held at Mumbai’s Shanmukhananda auditorium in King’s Circle. However, bookmyshow.com and Rythym House are still accepting bookings for the show. The Anoushka Shankar and Jethro Tull concert which took place at Kolkata on November 27, 2008 played to a packed house, it is learnt.

Earlier, the Deff Leppard concert scheduled for 19 October 2008 in Mumbai, faced a similar fate after their Banglore and Mumbai tours were cancelled post the Assam serial blasts owing to security reasons.
Anouskha Shankar is also supposed to make an appearance on 7 December 2008 for the Live Earth concert in Mumbai, along with a host of other international musicians and celebrites.
The Jethro-Anouska concerts are also scheduled to happen in Delhi on 30 November, in Bengaluru on 2 December and in Hyderabad on 3 December.
