MUMBAI: For the second consecutive week, Elvis Presley’s reworked album ‘If I Can Dream’ by Royal Philharmonic Orchestra topped the Official Albums chart. The album comprises of Presley’s greatest vocal performances accompanied with orchestral arrangements and feature guests like Micheal Buble (who duets with Presley on ‘Fever’), guitarist Duane Eddy (contributed for ‘An American Trilogy’ and ‘Bridge over Troubled Water’) and Italian Operatic pop trio Il Volo.
Little Mix’s third studio album ‘Get Weird’ entered the chart at number two, with sales of 60,053. However, ‘Get Weird’ is not the only new entry that features in this week’s chart. British singer and multi-instrumentalist Ellie Goulding’s ‘Delirium’ made an entry to the chart at number 3. The album sold 38,429 copies, making it third most sold album for the week. Last week’s number two, ‘Another Country’ by British singer-songwriter Rod Stewart slipped two places to number four, after spending a week in the number two spot.
The Beatles’ compilation album ‘1’, which was originally released in 2000, re-entered the top 10 at fifth spot. Last featured in top 10 in 2011, the album compilation appeared in the top 100 after July this year. Alexander Armstrong’s ‘A Year of Songs’ becomes one of the four new entries in the top 10 this week, with the album comfortably sitting at number six, followed by Sam Smith’s ‘In the Lonely Hour’ which completes its 77th week on the chart. Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’ fell 4 places to number eight in its 73rd week. Also slipping 4 places was Jess Glyne’s ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ which completes its 12th week at number nine. At number 10 is compilation album ‘Ultimate Collection’ by American singer-songwriter Anastacia.

For the third consecutive week, the top 2 positions remain unchallenged in the Singles Chart for the latest week. Adele’s ‘Hello’ which continues to sell more copies than ever, leads the chart followed by Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’. Last week’s number three ‘Writings on the Wall’ by Sam Smith plummeted to eighth position, and was replaced by a new entry- ‘Sax’ by Fleur East. Wstrn’s ‘IN2’ shot up by 56 places to feature in top 10 at number four. Meanwhile, ‘Never Forget You’ by Mnek & Zara Larsson climbed to fifth spot for its 9th week on the chart.
