MUMBAI: Box Cricket League (BCL) a reality show about drama, emotions, passion and some cricket, is back with its second season. One can feel the competition around with 10 teams consisting of 200 celebrities rooting for their respective teams.
While most of the teams participating in BCL come with a year of experience, there are a few that are relatively new. Actor Ajay Chaudhary’s Lucknow Nawabs is one such team.
The Lucknow Nawabs will be playing in BCL for the first time but they seem all prepared for the big game. The team has an interesting lineup of TV celebs and more. The team has also associated with two well-known music personalities .

Wondering who they are? They are none other than ace lyricist Manoj Muntashir and singer-composer Ankit Tiwari. The duo has created Lucknow Nawabs anthem song.
Muntashir has written the lyrics keeping the Lucknowi attitude in mind, while Tiwari has sung and composed it. “Lucknowis are refined till it’s not about competition. The minute competition comes in the picture we compete with all our strength. The Lucknow Nawabs’ anthem song will have all these aspects in it,” revealed ‘Galliyan’ fame lyricist Muntashir.
The ‘Tu Mere Pass’ lyricist is a huge cricket fan and is really happy to have got the opportunity to associate with it as he stated, “I used to play a lot of cricket. In fact, I was a good bowler back then. I have also been an umpire for district level cricket.”
He further quipped, “If you haven’t played cricket and been an Amitabh Bachchan fan, then you’re not an Indian.”
But as far as BCL is concerned, Muntashir states that one would only see him cheering this time.
Muntashir and film producer and director Anees Bazmee also happen to be the face of the Lucknow Nawabs.
The other BCL teams are Ahmedabad Express, Kolkata Babu Moshayes, Chandigarh Cubs, Delhi Dragons, Jaipur Raj Joshiley, Chennai Swaggers, Mumbai Tigers, Pune Anmol Ratan and Rowdy Bangalore.
BCL airs on Colors every Sunday at 4:30 pm.
