MUMBAI: With a head held high, Ankit Tiwari boards his flight for the Florida for the IIFA Awards. And of course the singer/ composer has every reason to expect a few more accolades, especially after the release of the film ‘Aashiqui 2′ made him one of the best composers. The ‘Sun Raha hai Na Tu’ singer has two new upcoming tracks, which include ‘Sheeshe Ka Samundar’ from the film Xpose and Saawalo Mein’ from the film ‘Saamrat and Co’.
“I was unaware that the song would be used for the film ‘Xpose’. I found out that the song would be included in the film only five to six days before the music release. The only thing I was told was that it is a soft romantic number and I would say that it is different from the genre that I have sung before,” explained Tiwari.
Speaking about his other track ‘Saawalo Mein’ from the film ‘Samrat and Co’, for which he teamed up with Shreya Ghoshal, Tiwari said, “The brief given to me was that of a haunting number and a foggy atmosphere. It definitely reminds you of numbers like ‘Gumnam Hai Koi’, ‘Jhoom Jhoom Dhalti Raat’ and many others.”
As far as composing is concerned, Tiwari has been trying his hands at different genres. With his song ‘Tequila Vaquila’, he has proved that he can easily adapt to the party numbers as well. “I will continue to try my hands at different genres, since I love experimenting,” he stated.
