MUMBAI: An all-blind orchestra from India will perform in Leicester and London later this month, reports PTI
The band Black, playing contemporary and classical Hindi music as well as Bollywood hit songs from different eras, will perform at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester on 24 and 26 September and at the Brent Town Hall on 25 September.
According to the organisers, their quality of songs and music is equal to anything that has ever been done by an Indian orchestra in the UK despite the fact that all 13 members of the group, from percussionists to two lead singers are blind.
One of the talented members of the band is flutist Kiran Vinkar who has worked at several stage shows. He has also played flute as background music for Bollywood film Sarkar Raj. There will also be a surprise appearance from a Bollywood star,… the organisers revealed.
