MUMBAI: Red FM’s morning show ‘Morning No 1’ will complete nine years on 1 August and for the celebrating the same, RJ Malishka has invited actor Akshay Kumar to her studio.
Malishka said, “Akshay Kumar is a disciplined person so he has promised to be in the studio at 6.30 am and he will be there. It is great to have him around on the day the show is turning nine.” Kumar who had been to Red FM on many occasions, his last visit was for promoting his film ‘It’s Entertainment’ and the initiative Bajao for a Cause for Cancer patients. Khiladi Kumar, Tamanaah Bhatia and Malishka had carried out a Google+ Hangout.
The station along with the celebration spirit will carry out an important initiative to support Yoda (Youth Organisation in defence of Animals), by asking listeners to bid for Kumar’s jacket and Tamannah’s dress from the film ‘It’s Entertainment’.

“Red FM has always been associated with some cause of the other. Social causes has been very integral in Red FM’s programming and it will continue being like this,” Malishka added.
On the occasion of their ninth anniversary, the radio station will also surprise the listeners by distributing prizes like LCD TV, microwave and so forth. “We might continue the celebration till Monday. Radio is very flexible in that way,” she said.
Talking from the sets of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ Malishka said, “I am telling people around here about the show’s anniversary and how I am excited about it.”
‘Morning No 1’ can be heard from 6 to 11 am from Monday to Friday. Red FM also runs the best of ‘Morning No 1’ on week-ends as well.
