MUMBAI: Indian act AKoustic Soul’s single, Home has won the Silver Crystal Award in the SKOWT – VIMA Pop Song of the Year category at the Global VIMA Music Awards. The final result was a mix of public voting, social media activities and the verdict of Global Judges.
“This is my first international honor, so it is taking some time to sink in,” says Pune based Amit Khadikar, better known as AKoustic Soul. “I have nothing but respect for all the other nominees, too, and gratitude toward VIMA & SKOWT for the recognition bestowed,” he adds.
Further speaking about his song, Khadikar shares, “Home conveys a simple, universal message that has been embedded in me since my childhood days – home isn’t just a physical place; it is where your heart is.”
