MUMBAI: Singer Akhil Sachdeva’s debut single Gal Sun with T-Series just dropped online. Produced by T-Series, this love ballad single has been composed and sung by Akhil Sachdeva and penned by lyricist, Manoj Muntashir.
Featuring Akhil and Sneha Namanandi, the song is a romantic number that has a fresh feel. It shows Akhil as the band member of, Nasha, who falls in love with a beautiful waitress. Nasha happens to be the Delhi-based band with whom Akhil began his musical journey.
From the use of guitars to the scenic locations, the music video will surely brighten your day. Also, Akhil’s voice and compositions blend well with the emotion of the song as he enacts for the first time on-screen. With this song, Akhil has, for the first time, unleashed his romantic side and his chemistry with Sneha Namanandi says it all. The Humsafar singer has shouted loud through this song that he has got acting skills too. The music of the song is also fresh and the Oceanside shoot and the colour templates used add to the beauty of the song. Akhil’s Punjabi vocals have a Sufi touch.

Speaking about his debut single, Akhil said, “I was excited about this song in particular because it was actually written and composed four months before I made Humsafar. It was almost in the same phase, three and a half years ago when I made these songs. On a personal level, I prefer this song; as it is more close to me than Humsafar. So, I am really happy that it is coming out now as a single after three years. I feel hugely confident about this song. It was fun also because I am acting in the video. There is a lot of acting to do. The storyline is such that it is not just a regular music video.”
Sharing his experience of working on the song, Akhil adds, “The experience for me was amazing and very different because I had fractured my hand during the shoot. Even after the accident, I was driven to complete the video. There was remarkable energy on set. They felt my energy was positive when I entered the set and it changed everybody’s thought process. All of us were consumed so much by the song that we wanted to do it well and from all our heart. It was shot on an island called Chania which has not been explored much before.”
Having started his music journey as the lead vocalist of the Delhi- based music band, Nasha, singer-composer Akhil Sachdeva has come a long way. He made his Bollywood debut with the soulful track Humsafar from Badrinath Ki Dulhania and has earned accolades and Filmfare nominations including the Zee Cine Awards for the song.
Gal Sun is yet another addition to the list of soul-stirring numbers by Akhil Sachdeva. The song is indeed a mesmerizing number for his fans, who were awaiting its release. We hope Gal Sun, produced by T-Series gives Akhil another hit, now as an actor too.
