MUMBAI: Nagpur based rapper, Young Zwann’s song, Jung has garnered quite a lot of attention after the song hit over three million views in a matter of just a few weeks. Music composer Amaal Mallik also seems to be happy with his decision to produce for the song which has also given his fans a glimpse of a different side of him. Jung would mark Amaal’s first hip-hop song/rap song.
Talking about his collaboration with Young Zwann, he says, “I’ve produced for Jung which is a song that’s a completely independent release, with no label involved. It’s beautiful to see it growing on its own and it has now crossed 3 million in 3 weeks, all organically!” The electrifying song has become an instant hit among hip hop and rap music lovers! Amaal Mallik who’s always been open to experiment with his music, also appreciates how hardworking and talented Young Zwann is, and says “He has worked really hard given about 50 to 60 takes and I’m glad we have released a banging track. I think the lyrics were what made me want to really do this song. The Bachpan Se Seekha Hain Jo Aaj Mere Kaam Aaaya, Pitaah Ki Daulat Nahi Saaya Mere Saath Laaya.
The Hook was what sealed it for me, YEH HAIN JUNG APNE AAP SE, NAI DARTA KISKE BAAP SE, TU APNA RASTAA NAAP LE.”

Talking about helping these independent artists, Amaal says, “Well, I am doing my bit, I worked with a total newcomer in Tera Shehar my single with Mohammad Kalam, a talented soulful singer and that song, penned by Manoj Muntashir garnered a lot of love. I also hope to start an artist-driven label someday to support the right talent, help them get the right platform and share royalties legally, something that doesn’t usually happen with labels in our country.”
