MUMBAI: Pop superstar might trade the mike for a pen. The ‘Skyfall’ singer mother of 10- month old son has shown interest in writing a book for children. The multi-platinum singer has approached by publishing house Puffin.
Puffin officials believe she will be successful in the venture. The book will be for beginners with very simple images, and a storyline including some of her personal experiences as a mother.
“Adele’s book will be something she can have as a memory of her early days as a mum and also something she can dedicate to her son” reports said.
If she agrees, Adele 25, who may do a cameo as a vamp in upcoming movie ‘The Secret Service’ will join the ranks of stars such as Madonna, Ricky Gervais and David Walliams who have all successfully penned children’s’ books.
“Adele loves the idea. It won`t reveal anything too personal as that`s not her style. But the book will be something she can have as a memory of her early days as a mum and also something she can dedicate to her son. Everything Adele touches turns to gold and this would rocket the way J K Rowling and Harry Potter did,” a literary source has said.
A club she however will not join is that of her fellow Brit star Paul McCartney who recently turned down a 5 million pounds offer to write an autobiography.
The 71-old former Beatle said that he is too busy touring and making music, and that too many people have already told his story so many times, that he doesn`t need to do the work.
