MUMBAI: Absolute Radio has elevated Chris Goldson to the post of commercial director, replacing Nick Hewat who is leaving to join the Telegraph Media Group as sales director.
According to a report in the Guardian, Goldson was previously Absolute Radio’s creative content director and will take up his new role at the end of May.
Goldson has been at Absolute – previously Virgin Radio – for six years. The station changed its name last September after it was bought by a subsidiary of the Times of India group.
Absolute Radio’s audience has bounced back but is still down nearly a third year on year following its relaunch last September, according to the latest official Rajar listening figures.
