MUMBAI: Singers Jubin Nautiyal and Shirley Setia captivate audiences with their heart-warming voices on the sixth episode of T-Series MixTape presented By Amazon Prime Music. But, Abhijit Vaghani joining as the third wheel is an ad-on to the musical euphoria.
The next singer duo to feature on the latest episode of T-Series Mixtape Season 2 is Jubin Nautiyal and Shirley Setia. The singers have crooned a medley of three exciting songs Ik Vaari, from the movie Raabta, Tum Ho Toh from Rock On, and Nadaan Parindey, from the movie Rockstar.
Talking about the song, Jubin Nautiyal shares, “This time I am collaborating yet again with Shirley Setia and Abhijit Vaghani. We are recreating three songs, Ik Vaari, a song that I have sung for Raabta, the second one is one of my favourite songs called Tum Ho Toh from Rock On!, which was a good college classic cult and third song which is very uniquely mixed is Nadaan Parindey, which is great.”

With a successful run in Season 1, Jubin further shares his views on the trend of recreating the classics saying, “I feel T-Series MixTape is a very cutting edge and new way to see Bollywood music all over again. In a time where recreations are enjoyed and celebrated, T-Series is bringing about some songs which have had a crazy run when they were released. But again it is coming with such a different expression all together, with different artists creating its own niche. It’s a unique concept. Last season gave me so much love. So I am really looking forward to this one.”
Excited to associate Shirley Setia adds, “The feeling is extremely surreal as Jubin and myself had collaborated for season 1 of T-Series MixTape and for this Season 2, the same team is back! I have heard the song, Ik Vaari in Jubin’s voice but never sung it before. He has done a really nice acoustic version of the song for the album. While the song, Tum Ho Toh I have sung in my concerts for my fans. So I am really looking forward to it as when this song comes out and my fans here it, they will be very happy. The song is a mix of peppy, good, fun and everything positive.”
Lending his voice to this song, music director Abhijit Vaghani says, “The challenge to recreate the euphoria in terms of Nadaan Parindey, for the song it was, Ik Vaari which did so well and Tum Ho Toh…turned out brilliantly, because all three were in the same lyrical context. It’s all about pain, love and longing.”
Fused in a pulsating melody, this profound mashup will surely take you on euphoric ride. The song begins with a beautiful harmony on Xylophone and as Shirely Setia, Jubin Nautiyal and Abhijit Vaghani take to the mics, they are further joined by talented musicians on drums, bass guitar, electric, acoustic, keys, piano and percussion. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, the show has been directed by Ahmed Khan and conceptualized and developed by Shivam Chanana and Sonal Chawla.
