MUMBAI: Baaki Baatein Peene Baad, a song that’s best described as heartthrob Arjun Kanungo’s stairway to success, celebrates its second anniversary. We spent some time with the creator of the song, who has, since then, been consistently presenting listeners with songs that have become instant hits. And with every song, AK has steadily built a loyal fan army. However, he attributes all his success to his first pop single.
He says, “Baaki Baatein was a rage within hours of its release. I didn’t expect so much love and it just kept growing. There were multiple versions created for the song and every LIVE show I did or still do, I have to begin and end with it. A song on alcohol made me what I am today.”
He further adds, “After Baaki Baatein, my second single Fursat was again loved by all. The video and the rhythm stayed with listeners long after they were done listening to it. The third groovy single Ek Dafaa is still on charts. I am just humbled.”

We ask him if he has cracked what listeners want, as he creates tracks that they love from the minute it is released, “That’s not true, I actually like the music I create, and I think my pulse is similar to the audience’s, therefore if I like what I am creating, I am sure my fans will, too.”
