MUMBAI: The year 2016 could feature several biopics, but nothing can possibly beat the release of James Erskine-directed biopic on the God of Indian cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. A movie on Tendulkar was long overdue, and what adds another desirable feature to the whole platter is the music director.
None other than AR Rahman has been roped in for the movie’s music. Rahman, who has already composed the score for biopic on Pele, acts as the icing on the cake for the whole package.
The news of Rahman composing music for Sachin’s biopic went viral when the legendary cricketer took it to twitter to share the teaser of the film.

The film, titled as ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’, is set to hit the theaters this year, and trailer will launch on April 14. Sachin confirmed of his direct participation in the movie. A biopic on Sachin Tendulkar with Rahman handling the music responsibilities ensures the job is half done for the makers, however, only time will tell how the fans react to it.
