MUMBAI: With its strict only-music content and animated characters doing the work of , 9XM has led the way in the number game.
The channel that has recently undergone changes in its look and feel, is also adding a few novel elements. “While some changes have been made, a few more will be added by the month end,” reveals 9XM head of programming Amar Tidke.
Talking about the need for a changed look, Tidke adds, “It is always good to reinvent yourself and offer something new to the audience to keep their interest intact.”

Widely known for its animated characters like Bade Chote, Bheegi Billi and Betel Nuts, the channel also plans to add two more characters to the family soon, though not much was revealed about the characters.
Also, the existing animated characters would be taking a world tour starting with China. The new visuals around the tour will roll out next week. “We wanted to do something different with the characters. Hence we decided to take them on a world tour for our viewers,” he says.
