MUMBAI: After having won more than 10 awards over the last two years for her incredible voice and Sufi style singing, Kavita Seth is back with her new album Kabirana Sufiana’s launch concert. The album has one track on the 26/11 incident.
On the second anniversary of 26/11, Kavita Seth will be in Radio One studios with MJ Gya, taking about her album and her special song on the tragic incident. She will also share her opinion on how musicians and artists can help decrease the pain and terror the carnage had caused.
On the 26/11 experience, Kavita Seth says, It is a great tragedy which India had to face two years back on 26/11. It was not just a horrifying incident for us Indians but also for all humanity. Even today when we think about that incident, we can feel the tragedy, pain and sorrow that those people had to suffer. As an artist, I feel it is our duty and responsibility to try and help all those unfortunate people triumph over the pain with music, as it is the best medicine. In one of my songs in the album I have attempted this. The song just conveys one beautiful message: Be human….

Although the singer is claiming in an official press note that the song with the â€?be human’ advice is on the (26/11) incident, she had made not mention of this important aspect at the launch concert of the album she is promoting on Radio One today. RadioAndMusic.com was present at the concert, and the song, Pagle Banda Ban, Phir Khuda Milenge, was, like the others, a meaningfully written and well sung Sufi song. However, the fact that it does contain an excellent message of humanity that is all the more relevant especially today on the second anniversary of the 26/11 tragedy, is laudable, and just the message that Radio needs to spread amongst all listeners.
