MUMBAI: A virtuoso display of guitar playing by 14-year-old girl Tina S of a classic rock solo has gone viral on YouTube. Tina’s incredible display of skills and dexterity while playing guitar hero Eddie Van Halen’s instrumental ‘Eruption’ has attracted more than 1.7 million hits.
Eddie Van Halen (of band Van Halen) is regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. His 1.43 minute solo Eruption on the band’s 1978 self-titled debut album is second on Guitar World’s list of the 50 best guitar solos.
Uploaded on 20 May, the video has the prodigious poker-faced Tina seated and playing a Vigier Excalibur Custom electric guitar with an ease that many guitarists would give their arms for.
