MUMBAI: Celebrating the best of digital marketing communications in Asia, the Digital Asia fest has announced shortlist in all the categories for the Digital Media Awards.
Currently in its sixth year, the annual awards recognize digital marketers and their agencies for outstanding work in categories like media, entertainment, apps, gaming, online PR and online marketing.
India received a total of 10 entries; two shortlists each in Viral Advertising, Display and Travel/Entertainment and Leisure, and one each in Media Innovation, Search, Social Media and Financial Services.
This year the fest received over 600 entries from which the jury shortlisted 105 pieces of work from 12 countries. China leads the list with a total number of 31 shortlists followed by Australia and Singapore who have attained 13 shortlists each.
Led by the jury president McCann Erickson European chief innovation officer Matias Palm-Jensen, the 12 jury members will proceed to the final stage of judging to award the best of digital in the Asia Pacific region.
Digital Asia Festival director Myriam Coupard said, “You can’t escape the fact that the digital market is not only huge at the moment but has the world watching it for innovations and developments within the field. We’re excited to see which entries the jury will decide are deserving of a Digital Media Award and ultimately lead the way across the APAC digital landscape.”
The awards received over 800 entries from 16 countries in 2011. The fest, organized by Lions Festivals and Haymarket Media Asia presents seminars, digital showcases, networking and awards as a platform for brands and the online community to reach into new media and markets. The Digital Asia Festival takes place across 7-8 November at the Grand Millennium Beijing, China.
